One thing I’ve noticed that nearly every player needs correction on in their shooting follow throughs is where their front leg toe points at in their release. Many players stop on their front leg which forces them to turn the toe of the skate to the side. We lose the momentum we could have gained in continually striding in the direction of the target if the toe was facing the net. We cannot hyperextend our knee if the toe faces to the side which forces us to turn our bodies for in-motion shots or it causes us to completely stop our forward momentum.
